Dr. Frederick M. K. Lam has been in Family Practice since 1949 and using Electro Dermal Screening Test (EDST) for over 30 years.  He is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice.  Dr. Lam is the President of the American Association of Acupuncture  and Bio-energetic Medicine (AAABEM). He is also the founder and V.P. of the Foundation for East-West Medicine of the University of Hawaii.  Dr. Lam is the vice chair of the Institutional Review Board of the AAABEM.   By employing EDST and energy/information medicine, Dr. Lam has pursued a medical paradigm that first identifies the causes of diseases to treat them. He has published and co-authored a number of research articles on electro-dermal screening testing. Dr. Fred Lam is the president of the Institute of Bio-Energetic Medicine (IBEM).   Email: drfredlam@ibemedicine.com   Arnaldo Oliveira holds graduate degrees in public health and healthcare management, and a doctorate in trauma surgery in Brazil. He earned a Masters degree in organizational change at Hawaii Pacific University and a Ph.D. in management and organization, with specialization in non-profit finance at Capella University. Dr. Oliveira holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Hawaii (ACU 898). He has been studying and working with Dr. Fred Lam for the last 9 years and specializing in the use of Electro-Acupuncture According to Voll and Medicine Testing.  Dr. Oliveira is the managing director of Lam Clinic, Inc. and the Institute of BioEnergetic Medicine (IBEM).  He is also the Program director of the Voll-Lam School of Energy Medicine (www.volllam.org) and co Editor in Chief of the Pacific Journal of Energy Medicine (www.pjem.org). Arnaldo Oliveira Ph.D L.Ac. practices Auricular Therapy, Cosmetic Acupuncture (Mei Zen), and Electro-acupuncture according to Voll (www.arnaldooliveira.com).
