My beloved teacher, mentor, and friend, Dr. Frederick M. K. Lam passed away last November, 2013. He was a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine and a life-time fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (FAAFP). Dr. Lam was a pioneer in Energy Medicine, and one of the first physicians in Hawaii to undergo Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine training in Taiwan. Fred Lam, MD also studied in Germany with Dr. Voll, the german physician who created Electro-dermal Screening Test (EDST, or Electro-acupuncture according to Voll - EAV), and Medicine Testing. Dr. Lam wasn in Family Practice since 1949 and using Electro-dermal Screening Test for over 40 years. He published and co-authored a number of research articles on Electro-dermal Screening Testing including papers on diabetes, allergies, medicine testing, and so forth.

Arnaldo Oliveira earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Hawaii. He was trained and closely worked with Dr. Fred Lam for the last 12 years and specializing in the use of Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll (EAV) and Medicine Testing. Arnaldo Oliveira, MSAOM, Ph.D. L.Ac. practices Oriental Medicine and Electro-acupuncture according to Voll (EAV). By employing EDST and Energy Medicine over the las 12 years, Dr. Lam trained him in a medical paradigm that first identifies the causes of diseases, then treats the imbalances with the right medicines and therapies.
In addition, Arnaldo Oliveira holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Change from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii and a Ph.D. in Management and Organization, from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed a residency program in maxillo-facial and trauma surgery in Brazil, where he practiced trauma medicine for 12 years. Currently, Arnaldo Oliveira is enrolled in a doctoral program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine especializing in Geriatrics and Women's health at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
