My beloved teacher, mentor, and friend, Dr. Frederick M. K. Lam passed on November, 2013. He was a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine and a life-time fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (FAAFP). Dr. Lam was a pioneer in Energy Medicine, and one of the first physicians in Hawaii to undergo Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine training in Taiwan. Fred Lam, MD also studied in Germany with Dr. Voll, the German physician who created Electroacupuncture according to Voll (EAV) and Medicine Testing. Dr. Lam was in Family medicine since 1949 and practiced EAV for over 40 years. He published and co-authored a number of research articles on EAV and Medicine Testing.

Arnaldo Oliveira earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Hawaii. In addition, Dr. Oliveira completed a clinical doctorate in acupuncture and oriental medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, one of the ost prestigious schools in the country. He was trained by and worked with Dr. Fred Lam for over 12 years specializing in the use of Electroacupuncture according to Voll (EAV) and Medicine Testing. Arnaldo Oliveira, MSAOM, Ph.D., DAOM, L.Ac. practices Oriental Medicine and Electro-acupuncture according to Voll (EAV).
Arnaldo Oliveira also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Change from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii and a Ph.D. in Management and Organization, from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed a residency program in maxillo-facial and trauma surgery in Brazil, where he practiced trauma medicine for 12 years.
